5 Signs You Should Break up With Your Pest Control Software Provider

SEO Title | 5 Signs You Should Break up With Your Pest Control Software Provider

Relationships are hard work. There’s always give and take, and sometimes, for a lot of relationships, it can be more take than give.

When it gets to this point, you have a decision to make. And as hard as it is, sometimes the best thing to do is to call it quits. Here are a few signs to look for when you decide to break up with your pest control software provider:

1. Their features aren’t as exciting as they used to be. Their software was the best in the industry when you first bought it. But that was five years ago. Where’s the innovation now? Innovation is incredibly important in order for pest control software providers to stay relevant. Their solution was built for a different time, and they’re not keeping up with the competition.

2. You’re getting ignored in the relationship. In a growing relationship, you should feel like a priority. Being responsive to someone’s needs is a major part of feeling valued. No one wants to sit on hold with customer service for long periods of time, wait five days for a simple email response, or worse, receive no response at all. Maybe they’re not communicating with you about new updates to their software or changes that will impact you. If you’re not feeling valued, then it might be time to leave.

3. They’re getting too expensive for you. Do costs keep rising? Are you surprised every time you receive your invoice? In order to keep up with inflation, most companies need to raise their prices at some point. But if you’re getting nickel-and-dimed every time you call customer service, or your subscription fees are increasing every month, then that’s not good for the relationship.

4. It’s all about them.  You might feel like you’re in a narcissistic relationship. It happens all the time. In the beginning, you were swept off your feet like a Disney princess, then all of a sudden they … changed.  Every time you had an issue or a problem that you brought to their attention, they became defensive, tried to change the topic, or turned it around and blamed you.

5. They refuse to grow with you. Do you feel like your pest control software provider hasn’t grown with you? They seemed like the perfect fit when your business was small, but now you’re growing and looking to expand. Your employees are starting to complain too. Their network is slow, and it’s taking double the time it normally would complete even the smallest of tasks. You’re starting to feel like they’re holding you back.

Conclusion

You and your pest control software provider have been through a lot, so, naturally, it’s hard when you realize it needs to come to an end.  That being said, if you can relate to any of these signs, then the relationship is already broken. Need help starting the conversation? If so, try this quote from Demetri Martin, “Hey, I was just wondering. Are you doing pushups with your knees down? Because I’m not sure, this is working out.”
