Our payments partner, Payrix, has recently sent an email notifying FieldRoutes® Payments customers of updates to the FieldRoutes Payments Merchant Terms and Conditions. Below are additional details.
Among the changes in the Merchant Terms and Conditions, there is a request to have compliant Payment Authorization and Payment Storage language in your customer’s Service Agreement. While the need for Payment Authorization and Payment Storage language is not new, FieldRoutes will be updating the language of the default Service Agreement with new payment language over the next few weeks as a result of this request.
If you currently customize your Payment Authorization language in your customer Service Agreement, we recommend adopting new language for consistency and to adequately notify your customers. In order to help you in this matter, we will be sharing some verbiage examples in an upcoming email for your consideration. However, please consult your own legal counsel as appropriate to meet your business’s needs.
No action is needed by you unless you have custom language in your Service Agreement.
