About the Company

Ideal Pest Control, based in Fort Worth, TX, has been in business since 2010. With 12 technicians, two office employees, and one dedicated sales representative, they offer residential and commercial pest control services. Ideal Pest Control takes pride in its exceptional customer service and work ethic in the service industry to which they bring a combined 100 years.

The Challenge

Ideal Pest Control used an older system that was slow, cumbersome, and a challenge to use for their reporting, scheduling, and invoicing. Because of this, they had to use Mapsco codes to schedule and route their technicians. This made it difficult to monitor how many stops they had throughout the day, nor could they see what types of services were being completed. Additionally, they lacked sufficient reporting; therefore, they couldn’t forecast or measure their results.

The Solution

Ideal Pest Control has been using the FieldRoutes™ operations suite for two years, and the most obvious advantage they’ve seen is its ease of use and how easy it is to train others to use it. Technicians are much more efficient than they used to be. For example, the Job Pool feature makes it easier to schedule, and management has more visibility into how their technicians’ day is structured. They can get more done in the same amount of time with more stops. Additionally, since they no longer have to manually map their routes using Mapsco codes, their routes are more accurate, and their technicians spend less time driving around. This saves time, gas, and money.

The Impact

The FieldRoutes’ Dashboard has made a significant impact on its reporting. The Billing by Service Type and Forecast reports are managers’ favorite. They now have visibility into their stops per route, and they can measure their production value for the day. Using the search bar is intuitive and quickly identifies customers without having to type in the exact name. Their billing department can easily see which customers have signed up for AutoPay and which credit cards are about to expire. Lastly, when other companies were reeling from COVID-19, Ideal Pest Control continued to increase their customer base by 17 percent.
